Emergency Community Support Fund
Thank you for your interest in the Emergency Community Support Fund!
The Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) is a $350M investment from the Government of Canada to support charities and non-profit organizations serving vulnerable populations as they manage the impacts of COVID-19.
The Government of Canada has partnered with Community Foundations of Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, and United Way Centraide Canada to deliver the ECSF. Each partner will manage and deliver their allocation of the Fund differently, and will target different applicants.
The community foundation network is accepting applications from qualified donees beginning on May 19, 2020. Applications must be submitted before the end of the day on July 27, 2020 for activities occurring between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021. CFC and community foundations will review, assess applications and award funding on a weekly basis during this period. As community foundations reach their funding limits, they will no longer be accepting applications. Please consult the list of participating community foundations to verify whether your community foundation is still accepting applications.
Visit Community Foundations of Canada for more information on the program.
